Principle 2 Its been a long time since my last post. Life is moving faster than the speed of light. I'm learning how to deal with two in college and one on her way to the Marine Corp. go figure. Well lets cut to the chase, as we consider how to raise boys to men, keep in mind God has created them to be valued. Which leads me into the next principle.
Besides from knowing they belong, they also need to understand that they are also valued, God gave us the perfect example in the gospels, When Christ was baptize by His cousin, God affirmed Him by saying before everyone that this is my "Son whom I love and I'm pleased with Him." The first point- acknowledgement in front of the public. If it was good for God, then it should be good for us. Just imagine our sons receiving praise before their friends, and family. Once we value our boys they will mature into the young men we want them to be.
So make sure you give them praise when they do good things and give them mercy when they don't.. I look forward to sharing principle 4 next time. I'll try and get it to you sooner than later.. Thanks for your support, see you soon...
